Give Your Son What You Wish You Had
Mentorship from married Christian businessmen, for young men ages sixteen until they marry. Your first question is probably about safety, so we answer it first.
How We Protect Your Son
These are our standards. They are not suggestions, they apply to every adult who serves without exception, and you may hold us to every one of them.
- 1Background checks and sex offender registry screening for every mentor before his first meeting, repeated every two years. No exceptions, including for leadership.
- 2The two-adult rule. No adult is ever alone with a minor behind a closed door.
- 3No private messaging. No adult communicates one to one privately with your son. Messages go through a group thread or copy you.
- 4Remote mentoring by scheduled video call only, and you will know when it is happening.
- 5No adult transports your son alone without your written permission on file.
- 6No image of your son is used for anything without your separate written consent, which is optional and changes nothing about his participation.
- 7You are welcome at any session, unannounced, without asking first.
- 8A named safeguarding lead. You get his name and direct contact at acceptance.
- 9Any concern about a young man's safety goes immediately to the founder and the safeguarding lead, and to the authorities where Arizona law requires it. We do not investigate internally first.
Our Mentors Are Businessmen, Not Counselors
Our mentors are businessmen, not counselors. If your son tells a mentor something past what a mentor should handle, the mentor will not try to counsel him.
He listens, he does not counsel, he tells the safeguarding lead the same day, we bring it to you, and we hand you the name of a qualified Christian counselor rather than a vague promise to look into it.
None of that replaces prayer. It sits alongside it.
You See It Before He Does
He is capable. He is also scrolling, gaming, and drifting through days without direction. His friends are not pushing him higher. School is not teaching him to build anything. Youth group does not teach business.
And you already know you cannot be his only mentor forever.
Remember being his age? You had energy and ideas and nobody warning you. You made expensive mistakes and figured it out the hard way. He does not have to repeat that.
What Surrounds Him Here
Successful Christian businessmen who model integrity in front of him, not at him
Peers who push him higher instead of dragging him down
Practical skills school does not teach
Accountability that actually sticks, because somebody asks him every two weeks
Faith integrated naturally into how he thinks about work
Honest conversation about the traps that take young men out: gaming that quietly eats the hours, drinking, relationships pursued before he is grounded, and the comfort zone
What It Costs and What You Sign
Seventy-five dollars a month, or $750 a year with two months free. Scholarships are available and no committed young man is turned away over money.
For an applicant under eighteen, you complete and sign Part 3 of the application. It includes emergency contact, medical information, who may pick him up, how we may communicate with him, and whether an adult leader may transport him. The photo release is entirely separate and entirely optional.
You may withdraw your son at any time, for any reason, without explaining yourself to us.
Talk to Us Before You Decide
Questions about the Mentees Program, or a young man you want to nominate? Tell us about him and we will reach out to him directly, copying you on every message. He applies himself, because a young man who is enrolled against his will does not engage. You can also email [email protected].
[email protected]. Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday, 8:00am to 1:00pm, Arizona time. Closed Sunday.
