Lead a Local Group
Some men are meant to sit in the room. Some are meant to hold it. If God is placing your city on your heart, this page is for you.
Join a Room or Lead One
Both are equal paths. Some men are called into the room. Some are called to build it.
Join a room
You are a married Christian businessman with children looking for men who share your faith and your pressure. You enter through the door that matches your season and join a cohort or the Brotherhood.
See the four doorsLead a room
You have lived the distributed lifestyle long enough to shepherd other men into it. You feel the weight of the married Christian businessman in your city who has no room to walk into. You want to build that room.
Call 602.456.7632Why We Need You
A cohort is twelve men. A chapter is four cohorts, forty-eight men, in one city. Then we open the next city.
Nobody runs four rooms a week. Not Lorenzo, not anybody. If this movement is going to reach the men it exists for, other men have to hold rooms.
That is not a growth strategy we invented. It is arithmetic.
Two Ways to Lead
Cohort Facilitator
You run one Mastermind room of twelve men, week to week. You open, you keep time, you facilitate the hot seat, you hold the accountability round, and you know every man in your room well enough to notice when one starts drifting. In person, in a cohort city.
Brotherhood Host
You run an online room every two weeks. You open on time, keep the conversation alive, manage breakouts, drive the commitment round, post the recording the same day, and welcome every new man personally in his first two weeks. Hosting online is a different skill than facilitating in person.
What We Are Looking For
Every man who leads a room is a married Christian businessman with children. That is not a preference, it is the requirement. A leader who is not living what we teach cannot lead men into it.
Leading a cohort is a shepherding role, not a hosting role. You do not need to be a natural speaker. There is a path for that.
- Living the priority order, or visibly and honestly pursuing it
- Affirms the Statement of Faith without reservation
- Integrity evident in his marriage, his business, and his community
- Humble enough to receive correction and strong enough to give it
- Confidentiality is second nature, not a rule he follows
- Active in a local church, with a real devotional life, and able to pray out loud without awkwardness
- Completes the same vetting every member completes, plus leadership training
- Genuinely available for the time it takes
The Path
Nobody is handed a room. There are eight rungs between a first sentence in a meeting and running your own.
Every rung from three up ends with written feedback from the men in the room, and a debrief you write yourself before you read a word of it. Most men take eighteen to twenty-four months. Some take longer, and that is fine.
- 1Thirty seconds in the wins round
- 2Four minutes casting the vision
- 3Ten minutes sharing a tool that worked
- 4Eight minutes telling your own story
- 5Twenty to thirty minutes teaching a pillar
- 6Teaching the Mentees, which is the hardest room we have
- 7A workshop or an event
- 8Your own room
If God Is Placing Your City on Your Heart, Say So
Tell us about yourself and where you are. If a room is forming near you, we will talk. If one is not, sometimes this is how one starts. Current cohort cities are Gilbert and North Scottsdale, Arizona.
[email protected]. Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday, 8:00am to 1:00pm, Arizona time. Closed Sunday.
